Formed in Würzburg, Bavaria, in 1986, by friends an ex-Warhead members Axel Blaha (drums) and Charly Steinhauer (vocals/guitar), Paradox quickly developed into one of the most important bands of the second wave of Teutonic speed and thrash metal. The line-up was completed by second guitarist Markus Spyth and Roland Stahl on bass. Their first, untitled demo tape, recorded the same year and containing seven self-penned numbers, took the German metal scene by storm. Gleaming reviews in Metal Hammer and Rock Hard followed, and as a result Paradox were soon hailed as the German answer to Metallica. Product of Imagination is the debut album of the German thrash / speed metal band Paradox. It was released in 1987 through Roadrunner Records. Product of Imagination was generally well received and praised by the media following its release in October 1987. It was voted "LP of the month" in the magazines Rock Hard and Metal Hammer, the latter of which claimed that the album was the best German debut since Helloween's Walls of Jericho. The album was also given high scores in the English magazine Kerrang! and also in Japan's Burrn!.[3] After the release of their debut, Paradox was named "Newcomer #1" by the press in Germany.[4] The band was also ranked as the third best band in Germany in polls conducted by the German editions of Rock Hard and Metal Hammer, being ranked below the Scorpions and Accept. Bad Brains is the self-titled debut studio album recorded by American hardcore punk/reggae band Bad Brains. Recorded in 1981 and released on (then) cassette-only label ROIR on February 5, 1982, many fans refer to it as “The Yellow Tape” because of its yellow packaging. Though Bad Brains had recorded the 16 song Black Dots album in 1979 and the 5-song Omega Sessions EP in 1980, the ROIR cassette was the band’s first release of anything longer than a single. This reissue marks the second release in the remaster campaign, re-launching the Bad Brains Records label imprint. In coordination with the band, Org Music has overseen the restoration and remastering of the iconic Bad Brains’ recordings. The audio was mastered by Dave Gardner at Infrasonic Mastering and pressed at Furnace Record Pressing. -

Μορμώ (Mormo) is not new to this game. All members used to play in the legendary Greek crust band Dyspnea from Tyrnavos and they still carry the flame of that scene where back in the day bands like them, Xamos, The Malloy's Kids, Legal Pain, Social Security and others made noise and disrupted the quite life of this small rural town of central Greece. "Δυστοπία" (Greek for Dystopia) is their second album. Τhey have started a unique take on crust that centers on a more dark, esoteric and elegant sound that has transcended the constant d-beat pounding, fast paces and seer aggression of the genre with longer song structures, slower tempos, more complex songwriting and lots of atmosphere while still winking at the sound and aesthetics of beloved crust bands of the past. It’s like combining “Darker Days Ahead” by Tragedy with “Crack the Skye” by Mastodon, some black metal influences, krautrock rhythmic segments and lots of pagan myths of Thessaly. Nobody could have ever guessed the trajectory that hardcore would have taken back when this movement was first formed. And in the early 2000s, nobody would have guessed that a band like TERROR would still be one of the most influential bands in the subgenre, 24 years after their start. Their aggression, coupled with a love and appreciation for the scene that so many have come and gone from, or even forgotten altogether, has let them thrive- now unveiling their tenth full length record, STILL SUFFER, releasing April 24th on Flatspot Records. Originating from Los Angeles, California, during a time when hardcore needed a band to smash things back to center as the genre found itself falling off track, TERROR rushed in, immediately made their mark and never let go. Working with producer (and former guitarist) Todd Jones, the band created ten fast, aggressive, in-your-face tracks that embrace the themes that made TERROR so influential in the first place. Songs about self empowerment, survival and an unrelenting will to face challenges head on with the values and support found within these walls. STILL SUFFER was rounded out with engineering and some additional production by Taylor Young at The Pit Recording Studio, mixing by Jon Markson, and mastering by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege, with additional vocal engineering by Jay Zubricky at GCR Audio, and drum engineering at Studio 606 by Taylor Young and Oliver Roman. Guest vocals on the album come from Jay Peta of Mindforce on “Beauty in the Losses,” Brody King of God’s Hate and Dan Seely of King Nine on “Deconstruct It,” along with Hot Water Music’s Chuck Ragan providing an assertive delivery on “Fear The Panic,” a song which was also co-produced by New Found Glory’s Chad Gilbert. From the start, TERROR has never turned their back on the things that made this band so vital since its inception. With the release of STILL SUFFER, it’s clear that the band has no sign of letting up, continuing to succeed on their mission to deliver hardcore authentic to themselves and to show the world that this is much more than just music. This community and movement that nobody can truly put into words, is the exact place the energy comes from that fuels TERROR to continue to build and grow with STILL SUFFER. -

Like all of Bolt Thrower’s albums, Those Once Loyal deals with war, specifically World War I. The cover painting is titled "Contact – Wait Out", which is also the first track on the next album, "Honour – Valour – Pride". "Powder Burns" is a continuation of the song "Embers" from The IVth Crusade, and leads into "The Killchain" on Those Once Loyal. -

Music critic Alex Henderson of All Music gave it 4.5 out of 5 stars, praising the record for its “thrash circles” and for being “a relentlessly heavy and promising effort focusing on such subjects as the occult, witchcraft, nuclear war, and global destruction”. It made many year-end lists including those of renowned metal publishers Metal Injection. Loudwire lists the album among the ten best thrash records that weren't released by The Big 4. The album spawned one single release, lead-off track “Over The Wall”, which the band still plays live during nearly every show they play and remains one of the most popular songs among fans.
