Finland’s D-beat Hardcore Punk band Kürøishi is finally dropping their monster second LP “Sound The Alarm”. While the sold-out first LP “Poverty. Ignorance. Greed. Slavery” stemmed from a traditional Scandinavian style of “Tragedy via Wolfbrigade”, “Sound the Alarm” LP leans a lot more on a tasteful Japanese hardcore influence. The Tragedy heaviness and bleak atmosphere is still prevalent, with crushing dirges and desperate melodic riffing, but here the songs are more guitar-focused, with blazing guitar leads and huge epic guitar solos pumping adrenaline to the extreme. Set that to high-charge tempos and throw in some big gang choruses with guest appearances from bands like Think Again/ Systematic Death, NoLA, No Excuse, Vivisektio and Rotten Sound, and you’ve got your winter soundtrack all sorted out. Recorded and mixed by Antti Lindholm at Boat Island Studio April – July 2019 and mastered by Jack Control at Enormous Door Mastering (Martyrdöd, Forward, Framtid etc.). “Sound The Alarm” comes with a sleeve drawn and painted by none other than the true japanese artist and legend Akihiko “Sugi” Sugimoto himself. -

Negative Stance were one of the most influential bands of the Greek hardcore punk scene between 1988 and 1993. Their distorted sound was at times reminiscent of bands such as Wipers, Black Sabbath and Suicidal Tendencies, but these heterogeneous elements were creatively and distinctively molded together. Their excellent lyrics ignored the usual punk norms, touched upon various aspects of a dystopian society and remain relevant even nowadays. A special edition vinyl LP-anthology containing all the songs of their “Love is our strongest weapon” split-LP with Kismet H.C. and their “Angels of Deceit” album. This was release in 2001 but repress again in 2013. DOOM was a band which were pivotal in the rise of crust punk and originated from Birmingham. Doom continued with different guitarist, most notably with Dave Talbot who co-founded UK doom metal band SOLSTICE with SORE THROAT’s vocalist Rich Walker, but did not settle with four members for long playing numerous gigs as a three piece, as Pickering turned to vocal and guitar duties. This line up continued until a final split in August 1990. Following the group’s demise Pickering formed Police Bastard, whilst drummer Stick joined ENT then DIRT. This records still sound heavy, fuzzy, dirty and mean as hell!!!
