Now nearing the band’s two-and-a-half decade mark, ALL OUT WAR proves that age has only refined the band’s killing capabilities on Dying Gods, a brand new release which the band is about to unleash upon humanity. Dying Gods sees the band return to the sound of For Those Who Were Crucified, and just like that timelessly brutal album, Dying Gods was engineered and produced by Steve Evetts (HATEBREED, TURMOIL, BURIED ALIVE, SUICIDE SILENCE) and mastered by Alan Douches both at West West Side Studios in New York. The release sees the band bringing five decimating new original tracks and covers of two iconic underground anthems.

New York was always the breeding ground of legendary hardcore and crossover bands in the mid ’80s, so it was no surprise that a new darker crossover sound should arise from there. Bands like SHEER TERROR, CRUMBSUCKERS combined the sound of New York hardcore with influences from extreme metal like CELTIC FROST and SLAYER. In the early ’90s a new wave of this darker crossover would be spearheaded by bands like MERAUDER, DARKSIDE NYC, and ALL OUT WAR!!!

  • Hammerheart is the fifth album released by Bathory. It continued Blood Fire Death's transition away from black metal to what would become recognized as Viking metal, and is considered a cornerstone work of the genre. Bathory was formed in Stockholm in 1983. Founder Quorthon, a seventeen-year-old guitarist, was joined by bassist Hanoi and drummer Vans. After various name changes (beginning with Nosferatu, then Natas, Mephisto, Elizabeth Bathory and Countess Bathory) they finally settled on Bathory. Their first recording deal came that same year, when Quorthon managed to secure the consent of Tyfon Grammofon's boss to record two tracks for the compilation Scandinavian Metal Attack. The tracks which he recorded gained unexpected attention by fans.[citation needed] Soon afterward, Tyfon Grammofon contacted Quorthon and asked him to record a full-length album. Although Venom's Black Metal, released in 1982, was the first record to coin the term, it was Bathory's early albums, featuring Satanic lyrics, low-fi production and an inhuman vocal style, that defined the genre. Many fans have speculated Venom was an influence on Bathory; however, Quorthon has said in an interview with Kick Ass magazine in 1985 he only heard of Venom after the first Bathory album was released. He also expressed dislike for many influential and popular heavy metal bands at the time, such as Iron Maiden and Judas Priest. He has also stated the band's early work was influenced primarily by Black Sabbath, Motorhead, and punk rock. Bathory's self-titled debut album, and the subsequent releases The Return and Under the Sign of the Black Mark, are now regarded as major influences on the Norwegian bands which extended black metal's musical progression and popularity in the beginning of the 1990s.

  • Twilight of the Gods is the sixth album by Bathory. It continues the exploration of the newly created Viking metal style, and also displays a heavy classical influence; it is titled after an opera by Wagner, and the melody of "Hammerheart" is lifted from Gustav Holst's The Planets (more specifically, from the fourth movement, Jupiter). • Under the Sign of the Black Mark is the third album by Bathory. It had a major influence on the black metal genre, specifically the Norwegian black metal scene that emerged in the early 1990s. The song "Woman of Dark Desires" is a tribute to the band's namesake, Elizabeth Báthory, and has become one of their most recognized early tracks. "Enter the Eternal Fire" was the band's first epic, reaching nearly seven minutes in length, and presaged the turn towards what would become known as Viking metal which Bathory would take on their next three records.

It was released on Vinyl Solution as Sol 11 in 1988 and re-released on Vinyl Solution as Sol 11 in 1992, with a different album sleeve. • One of Britain's most consistent and enduring death metal bands, Birmingham's Bolt Thrower has weathered the best and worst of times in the extreme genre's history without ever giving in to commercial temptations, or hardly even altering its sound. The fact that they were unusually blessed with a steady lineup throughout much of their career no doubt contributed to this stability, and though they were rarely bestowed wild praise for their efforts, with most of their competitors or contemporaries either adopting other styles or long retired, Bolt Thrower has gradually established itself as one of the best death metal bands ever to emerge from England. Those Once Loyal is the eighth and final album by the British death metal band Bolt Thrower. It was released in 2005. With Bolt Thrower deciding against releasing a follow-up to Those Once Loyal, it was Bolt Thrower's final studio album before breaking up a year after drummer Martin Kearns' death in September 2015. Like all of Bolt Thrower's albums, Those Once Loyal deals with war, specifically World War I. The cover shows a World War 1 QF 18 pounder field gun and its crew in action and is based on an original WW1 photograph. The picture is also found on the back side of the Guards Memorial in St James's Park in London.

  • In today's climate of resurgent thrash metal bands and "partying harder than you" attitude, how is a band supposed to stand out from the rest? Simple: hard work and dedication to the craft. Take a look at St. Louis's own CROSS EXAMINATION – each member of the band parties and plays metal as a lifestyle, not as their flavor of the week. CROSS EXAMINATION’s vocalist Devil Dan has done some hard time for his lifestyle choice, and what landed him in the slammer may or may not have had something to do with a can of Crisco, a sledgehammer, a case of PBR, a jart, and a 24-hour restaurant – all of this fueled by booze and metal. CROSS EXAMINATION can be seen on interstates around the country doing intervantinental beer bongs at 88 miles per hour in between vans ("the intervantinental beer bong," note: the drivers do not participate), and even smashing the hell out of their van, lovingly named Crusher, and subsequently destroying it on the side of the interstate 55 en route to Chicago. While these crazy antics are entertaining, CROSS EXAMINATION’s notorious reputation and undisputed sense of humor has helped them grow a serious fan base (also known as the Awesome Party Squad) and upwards of 50,000 YouTube views of their everyday lifestyle. When it's time to party, CROSS EXAMINATION will party hard. CROSS EXAMINATION will be trampling the United States throughout 2008 in support of Menace II Sobriety and the Awesome Party Squad will be circle pitting and beer bonging right along with them. Lock up your liquor cabinets!
