BackAfter Dead Kennedys recorded their 1980 debut, Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables, a new strain of punk had been revealed. The Washington D.C. hardcore scene had exploded, with Dischord Records releasing putting out EPs by Minor Threat and Teen Idles – bands that packed a ton of songs into 7-inch records by playing them really, really fast. The Dead Kennedys responded in December 1981 with their first, and only, EP, In God We Trust, Inc.

“The most soaring, magnificent, ethereal cathedrals to reason, faith or anything else were as mere unkempt and dilapidated hovels compared to the constructions – if they could even be described as such – within the Sublime.” (Iain M. Banks, The Hydrogen Sonata) “Sublimation” is an album recorded by 4 guys who appreciate good sci-fi literature and enjoy playing riff-centric, rhythmically intense underground music. It has been heavily inspired by the late Iain M. Banks’ concept of Sublimation, as explored in the master’s final sci-fi novel, “The Hydrogen Sonata”. It is Dephosphorus’ 4th full-length album and it presents a few notable differences compared to the rest of their discography, which are up to the audience to find out. Last but not least, the record’s atmosphere has taken visual shape thanks to Viral Graphics. Pressed on 180g vinyl, contain a 4 pg. 12" inlay, A2 Poster, Sticker & Download Card.

2015 recordings from this excellent Japanese crust band finally released on vinyl (previously available CD only in Japan). - Those familiar with the band from their handful of 7" releases will recognize many of these songs but these are updated versions with killer production and tied together into a masterful LP of heavy crust punk. This band takes a metallic but decidedly punk sound like the Antisect "Out From the Void" 7". If you wished there was more from those old English heads that pushed forward in that direction then you need to hear this band.
